Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew admits they've been hurt losing two senior players last season.
Pardew says that the team are still suffering from the loss of Yohan Cabaye and Loic Remy earlier this year.
He said: "When you lose Loic Remy and Yohan Cabaye that is always going to be difficult.
"This year we have a lot of young players.
"I look at Coloccini and Tim Krul as two of my real experienced great players.
"They know we will have to fight for every point this year.
"We might not be as good as we want to be but we are giving it everything."
