Pardew accepts Newcastle job under threat

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew feels his job is under threat - even if they beat the drop.

The Toon chief believes the club have under-achieved this year.

But they should be safe if they win at relegated QPR tomorrow.

Pards will then have crunch talks with owner Mike Ashley.

He said: "Mike and I will sit down as soon as we know what division we're in. We know we've got an uncomfortable conversation regarding the form this year, the under-achievement and everything else.

"We need to find out what the reasons were and then it's for Mike, and hopefully with me, to decide how to go forward. It's a privilege and honour to be manager of this club.

"But Mike could decide he needs another manager.

"I like to think that he won't, that next year we'll stay with myself, and we need to make some changes and we'll do that."
