Paraguay striker Cuevas happy with Portsmouth treatment

Paraguay international striker Nelson Cuevas has revealed he is continuing to train with Portsmouth.

"I am very thankful to the officials of Portsmouth who have let me do my recovery with them," Cuevas, off contract from Mexico's Club America, told ABC in Paraguay.

"But I want to make clear that I will only sit down with them and talk about a possible transfer to this team once I get totally recovered.

"They deserve all my respect so I can't talk about a transfer if I am not recovered yet."

Cuevas is also interesting Blackburn Rovers, where he has been recommended to manager Mark Hughes by his international teammate Roque Santa Cruz.
