PAR 0 - 0 NZL: All square as Paraguay top Group F

Paraguay and New Zealand have played out a scoreless draw but it did not prevent the South Americans from finishing on top of Group F.

In a match dominated by Paraguay, the South Americans could not pierce the fort-like New Zealand defence as they went about seeing 17 shots on goal go to waste only to record one point.

However, that point was enough for Gerardo Martino's men to top Group F ahead of Slovakia and move through to the Round of 16 in fairly good shape.

The New Zealand camp would be absolutely delighted to have recorded three draws from their first World Cup matches since 1982 and it only sets them up for bigger and better in the future.
