Papy Djilobodji: I'm a hero at Werder Bremen, but Chelsea refused to do business

Papy Djilobodji admits he never expected Chelsea to sell him to Werder Bremen.

After six months on-loan at Werder, the Germans wanted to buy him outright.

The defender, now with Sunderland and on-loan at Dijon, said: "I was doing really well in Bremen.

"I scored the goal to beat relegation there. There I am somebody. I still get a lot of news from Werder fans.

"Chelsea wanted too much money. Werder could not afford that. But I do not regret it, because everything comes as it should in life. I take it that way."
