Papin backs Liverpool ace Torres as Ballon d'Or chance
French legend Jean-Pierre Papin rates Liverpool ace Fernando Torres as the best player in the world.
Papin says Torres deserves to be considered among the favourites for this year's Ballon d'Or alongside Barcelona pair Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta.
"Do not forget Torres, he is able to score extraordinary goals and is often decisive. With or without him, Liverpool do not have the same performance when he's not there," said Papin.
Torres was outstanding for Liverpool in their surprise 2-0 win over Manchester United.
