Giuseppe Papadopulo has walked out of newly-promoted Lecce after a contract row.
"I can confirm that I won't be leading Lecce in Serie A next season," Papadopulo told Tuttomercatoweb. "It's not a sacking. My contract was going to expire and we didn't find an agreement for a renewal.
"The main reason for the split is a difference in strategies, more than financial disagreements.
"I hoped that I would find common ground with the directors, but that didn't happen. I have always achieved important results and maybe that made me a little presumptuous.
"Are there regrets? At the moment I don't know how to explain my state of mind."
