Bologna coach Beppe Papadopulo refuses to accept they're down ahead of their clash with Chievo.
His squad will be relegated if they lose and Torino beat Genoa this afternoon, while Reggina are already down and Lecce are likely to join them.
Papadopulo said: "We must remain gripped to safety until the last minute of the final game and in order to do that we must be in the running for next week against Catania.
"If Genoa play the way I know they can, especially with everyone keeping a close eye on them, then they will go to Torino seeking a result."
The coach added: "I tell the many fans who will follow us to the Bentegodi that they must have faith. This squad is united, motivated and will perform impossible feats to stay up.
"This Bologna team deserves to be in Serie A next season."
