Italy legend Paolo Rossi has been reviewing the nation's current striker stars.

On Atalanta forward Sergio Floccari, Rossi said: "He didn't seem concrete enough before, but he has certainly become so. He is quick, technical and knows how to come from deep."

Rossi, who won the World Cup with Italy in 1982, then gave his opinion on Italy's other attacking talents.

"Giampaolo Pazzini needs trust and tranquillity," Rossi said. "He is managing to do in Genoa what Alberto Gilardino is doing in Florence.

"Gilardino is having a great championship," he explained. "He has found the right environment and an ideal trainer.

"He is back doing what he does best. In La Nazionale I would put him alongside Luca Toni."
