Christian Panucci admits working for Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini is impossible.

The AS Roma legend had a short stint as football director.

Panucci, now Russia assistant coach, said: "I would have continued at Palermo with pleasure. It is an important place for me.

"Unfortunately, after 40 days I realised I could not go on.

"I tried to present a lot of things to the President, but he just didn't listen to me."
