Gold Coast United will welcome the return of defensive midfielder Steve Pantelidis for the clash with league leaders Perth Glory on Sunday.
The former Melbourne Victory man has started just once in United's three matches so far this season but may be recalled as his side goes about quelling the dangerous attack of the Glory.
Pantelidis admits he hasn't been at his best this term but plans to put that right if given an opportunity.
''I have been about 15 per cent off where I should be this season,'' he told the Gold Coast Bulletin.
''We have a lot of quality in midfield and I need to work a little bit harder to get my spot back. I've spoken to our coach Miron Bleiberg about it and he wants a bit more out of me.
"You train like you play and that's what I'm trying to improve on.
"I let myself down a bit against the Roar but I did well when I came on against Wellington and Melbourne Victory.
"This has been a bit of a wake-up call for me.
"It's the last year of my deal and I need to perform to get an offer, whether it's here or anywhere else. Hopefully it will be here because I don't want to leave the club.''
