Roma defender Philippe Mexes is being linked with Panathinaikos.

Panathinaikos have taken advantage of Roma's interest in young attacking midfielder Sotiris Ninis to ask about Mexes' availability.

Roma are preparing to sell Mexes in the summer and have warned Panathinaikos they expect a major auction for the France international.
