Panathinaikos goalkeeper Alexandros Tzorvas is thrilled to be joining Palermo.

Tzorvas is moving to Palermo as a direct replacement for their former No1 Salvatore Sirigu, now of PSG.

"Just the fact a team of this calibre showed interest makes me very proud," said the 29-year-old on the official club website.

"I am happy to have such an important chance to prove my worth. I already played three European games this season, so I'm ready to step on to the field as soon as possible.

"I will work hard every day to give a crucial contribution to the team."
