Panathinaikos want to keep hold of on-loan Newcastle United midfielder Mehdi Abeid.
The Evening Chronicle says the Algerian has been a revelation in the Greek Super League for the Athens club since signing a season-long deal last summer.
The 21-year-old has five goals this season, plus two man of the match performances from the last five games.
Panathinaikos manager Yannis Anastasiou wants to keep Abeid for one more season and will inform Newcastle of this over the next few weeks.
