Liverpool face competition from Panathinaikos for Espanyol winger Albert Riera.

Reds boss Rafa Benitez cannot move for the Spain international until he raises his own funds, which has left the door open to the Greeks.

"I'm not going to play for Espanyol any more," Riera said. "I don't want to play for a club where the fans don't want me."
