Gabriel Torres is close to finalising his anticipated transfer to Colorado Rapids.
The 24-year old Panamanian striker is expected in Colorado on Thursday to negotiate a Designated Player deal with the MLS club.
A statement on the Rapids official website read: "Colorado Technical Director Paul Bravo confirmed to ColoradoRapids.com on Wednesday that Panamanian forward Gabriel Torres is expected to fly to Denver, Colorado tonight to engage in negotiations with the club."
Torres, who is set to depart Venezuelan side Zamora, recently rose to prominence by scoring five goals for Panama at the CONCACAF Gold Cup to share the Golden Boot with USA pair Landon Donovan and Chris Wondolowski.
