Philadelphia Union are being heavily linked with a move for Panama international Gabriel Gomez.
The Daily News suggests that the Union are set to make an announcement that the 27-year old midfielder will soon sign with the club from Mexican outfit Indios Ciudad de Juarez.
The report says that 'According to sources, the contract has been approved by Major League Soccer and is only awaiting Gomez' signature.'
Gomez has won 74 caps for Panama with one of his most notable performances coming in last summer's CONCACAF Gold Cup victory over the USA when he scored the opener and set up the second goal in the 2-0 victory.
