Palmeiras insist they're not interested in Juventus legend Alessandro del Piero.

Del Piero is now playing in Australia for Sydney FC.

"An agent asked me if I was interested in Del Piero, but to be honest I didn't think about it for long," revealed Palmeiras director Jose Carlos Brunoro.

"I think it would be very complicated, because we are talking about a foreign player who is 38 years old, so we are not interested.

"Players like Del Piero or Francesco Totti would be exceptional from a marketing point of view, but we cannot sign players just for the marketing."
