Pally: Man Utd's Ferdinand must accept powers are waning

Manchester United legend Gary Pallister has warned Rio Ferdinand about his changing status at Old Trafford. After being a defensive stalwart at Old Trafford for nine years, Pallister - just like Rio - suddenly found his position was vulnerable.

"Rio's not finished by any stretch of the imagination," Pally told the Sunday Mirror. "He is still a fantastic player. In fact, like Scholesy and Giggsy, he can be an important player for years at the club. But only if he accepts he can't play every week. If he can't accept that, he'll have to move on."
