Palermo goalkeeper Alberto Fontana was furious at the end of their 2-1 defeat by AC Milan.

Amauri appeared to be tripped inside the Milan penalty area in extra-time and Fontana fumed: "It was a resounding penalty (on Amauri), I saw it a hundred metres away.

"It takes strong individuals to referee at the San Siro, maybe the referee was afraid to give it. Milan was playing well, but at 91 minutes the penalty was there to be given."
