Australian international Mark Bresciano has enhanced his prospects of a January move to the Premier League with a match winning double away to Sampdoria. Bresciano has recovered well from a disastrous 2007-2008 campaign and has rediscovered the form which had him previously linked to Manchester City during the Sven Goran Eriksson days.

The Socceroo midfielder has in recent weeks been linked with a move to Newcastle United and several other Premier League clubs, although reports out of Italy suggest his next move might keep in Italy.
