Palermo striker Amauri admits he handled the ball to setup Aimo Diana's equaliser in their 2-1 defeat of AC Milan on Wednesday night.

"I was trying to control the ball with my shoulder and it seems it may have struck my hand, but if it did it was an involuntary action," he grinned.

"I'm sure that if Milan had won by a large margin nobody would have thought twice about the episode."

The Brazilian added: "I'm getting towards my best shape after playing three games in a row and as a side we can believe in our strength because we beat Milan."
