Palermo striker Miccoli rules himself out of Italy World Cup selection

Palermo striker Fabrizio Miccoli says he's not good enough to play for Italy.

Some have called for the Palermo hitman to get a place in the 2010 World Cup squad, but even he isn't convinced.

Miccoli said: "If I were in charge of the Italy side, I wouldn't bring me along either. They should bring those who earned qualification, Antonio Di Natale who is top scorer and Francesco Totti if he wants to.

"Thinking about it, I'd bring Antonio Cassano and Mario Balotelli with me too. I'd play with two support strikers and a centre-forward."
