Palermo are eyeing AC Milan striker Antonio Cassano.
Corriere dello Sport says Palermo have targeted Cassano as the ideal replacement for Javier Pastore following the Argentine's 43m move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Sicilians could also cover his 2.5m per season wages, so a loan deal is not out of the question.
Cassano needs regular playing time this season because Italy boss Cesare Prandelli warned he'll only pick first team regulars for the Euro 2012 tournament.
