Palermo have secured Edinson Cavani to a new contract.
The Uruguay international striker's improved deal is now worth almost €1 million-a-year and carries a €25 million buyout clause.
Palermo have also inserted a new €50 million buyout clause in midfielder Javier Pastore's contract.
The stumbling block regarding the young Argentine is that agent Marcelo Simonian reportedly holds 50 per cent sell-on rights for the midfielder.
