Palermo chief Walter Sabatini has confirmed their interest in West Ham United midfielder Valon Behrami.

The former Lazio star is being linked with a return to Serie A as Hammers management seek to cash in this summer.

When being quizzed on potential transfer dealings, Sabatini said: "Behrami? He is a candidate, an excellent reinforcement, but a player who at the moment plays for another team. We'll see."
