Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has welcomed new coach Rino Gattuso.

Zamparini hopes Gattuso can stay long-term.

"Gennaro is working with great enthusiasm," he told Radio Radio. "He has not gone on a summer holiday to try and build this team.

"He is a humble and intelligent man, and will become an example for other Coaches to follow.

"If he goes to Milan [as their Coach] I have already said I will sell my villa in Vergiate!"
