Palermo president Zamparini sets Bresciano price

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini says Aussie midfielder Mark Bresciano is up for sale - but won't be going to Roma.

"The Giallorossi have never asked us about Bresciano and I don't think they will," Zamparini told Tuttomercatoweb.

"My sporting director Walter Sabatini is in talks with two clubs - West Ham and Rangers - but in the end I think he will stay with us. He is a player who can make the difference.

"I can absolutely rule out Bresciano leaving on loan. We value him at around £5.7m.

"Last year we turned down a bid of £6.2m from Manchester City and I regretted it because he didn't make the contribution everyone expected.

"There were links with Roma in the days after they sold Amantino Mancini and he seemed to me like a good replacement for the Brazilian, but now they have Julio Baptista so no approach seems likely."
