Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has assured coach Walter Zenga his job is safe.
Zenga has insisted he's laughed off press reports of his predicted sacking, but Zampa revealed: "On Tuesday, Zenga told me he was worried about what he was reading in the Press and I calmed him down.
"I just told him to focus on Juve. I never thought about sacking him. If anything, we want to start a cycle with him.
"I also told Zenga that I was not concerned about the table, even if we were lacking a few points. I just wanted Palermo to get back to playing football, and that's what they did against Juve."
