Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini insists Fabio Simplicio will stay beyond the January market.

The Brazilian midfielder has been linked with Roma and Inter Milan.

"If Inter are interested, I do not know," said Zamparini. "You have to ask to his agent. His renewal? It's not up to me I do not have to sign, the agent must convince the player.

"Could he leave this market? No, certainly he remains in January."
