Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini is open to signing Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli.
The Italian is surplus to requirements at Anfield and has been told to find a new club.
“When it comes to Balotelli, I'm afraid I don't know anything because my sporting director is in charge of all of our market operations," Zamparini told Giornale di Sicilia.
“Balotelli has not been offered to us but I don't believe it would solely be a matter of finance because I think they need to sell.
“If [Mino] Raiola does propose him to us then we could start talking, why not. I could be like a father [figure] to Balotelli."
