Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini appears to be preparing for Javier Pastore's summer sale.
Over the past few weeks Zamparini has declared star Pastore is not for sale, then set a 100m price-tag, but changed tack yet again.
"I love Pastore like a son and remember when he first arrived here that his shoes were too tight. I drove him to the store and together we chose better sneakers. That's when he realised the human qualities of his President.
"Pastore is a great talent and will be the trequartista of the next 10 years, no doubt winning the Ballon d'Or. He was hurt by criticism this season and that's hard for a 21-year-old to take.
"However, if we did sell him, then with the money he'd bring in we would make a stronger team without Pastore.
"Could someone in Italy invest in Pastore? I think so. One has already hinted at it, a club that wants to get back into the top of Italian football, while another threw in some bait."
