Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini stands by his assessment that Ciro Ferrara was too green to take charge of Juventus.

Juve have won the past three games under coach Alberto Zaccheroni.

Zamparini said: "Ciro Ferrara will become a great manager but I was right when I said the Bianconeri had given a Ferrari to drive to a Coach who has just got his license.

"There have been rare cases with Fabio Capello and Pep Guardiola, but it cannot be considered a rule.

"I am a bit disappointed Amauri returned to score. He is a great champion and I was just waiting for Juventus to offload him back to us."
