Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini says the chanting against Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli has nothing to do with racism. Many believe the reasoning behind the personal attacks are racism, but Palermo patron Zamparini has a novel approach.

"Racism has nothing to do with it. The problem is that on the field he behaves in this arrogant, nasty manner and makes fun of his opponents.

"It makes him disliked by everyone in Italy, including me. The Italian population is not racist.

"In fact, even black people would jeer Balotelli for the way he behaves."
