Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini says Paulo Dybala chose the best destination in joining Juventus.
Dybala is moving to Juve for around €40 million.
"I received offers from Milan, Inter and Juventus in Italy," Zamparini told La Politica nel Pallone.
"I had other offers which were a bit more tentative from abroad. The player has chosen the best team at the moment, which is in the Champions League and will give him greater exposure.
"He's the new [Lionel] Messi, Juventus have paid 32m plus bonuses to get him. He'll find players there who speak the same language.
"It was a great deal for both [Palermo and Juventus], I've balanced the budget and [Juventus director general Giuseppe] Marotta, who knows that you need the best players in the world for certain results, is moving forward with intelligence."
