Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has congratulated AC Milan over their imminent deal for Sampdoria striker Antonio Cassano.

Zampa also revealed the transfer latest on Massimo Maccarone.

"Cassano is an excellent buy for Milan," he said. "I would give [Milan Vice-President Adriano] Galliani 10 out of 10 because he is performing miracles.

"Maccarone? He's not off to Bari because they only want him on loan, he'll join another club who will buy him outright."
