Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini doesn't believe Roma can afford to sign striker Amauri.

Amauri's agent revealed yesterday the two clubs were in negotiations, but Zamparini said: "Roma could not afford Amauri in June and we won't consider anything lower than £17 million.

"Roma has never sounded us out and only indirectly have expressed interest. Amauri is our heritage, he should be happy to stay here until we receive an offer that we cannot refuse."
