Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has likened rookie coach Devis Mangia to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

Zamparini revelled in the team's opening League win over Inter Milan.

"I'm very pleased with the victory. I was also very pleased to receive a call fro Aurelio De Laurentiis immediately after the game. He complimented me and told me not to lose our Coach as he is very good.

"We hope this is the start of long cycle with this Coach. I hope Palermo becomes the Arsenal of Italian football, and that Mangia becomes our Arsene Wenger."
