Palermo president denies he won't sell Amauri to AC Milan

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has denied claims he wouldn't do business with AC Milan over star striker Amauri.

"It is not true that I have vetoed an Amauri transfer to Milan," he stated. "That is also because I haven't received an offer from them - or Juventus for that matter.

"I only know that a few foreign sides are interested in him, but nothing will happen until the summer at the very least."

Zamparini has also been forced to put the record straight regarding whispers that he was ready to reward Amauri for his efforts by increasing his salary.

"I will do all that I can to keep Amauri here, but it is false to suggest that we will soon double his wages," he added.
