Italian club Palermo are believed to be considering a £2million January move for Celtic's Georgios Samaras.
The Daily Record suggests that the Serie A outfit, who have previously been interested in the Greek striker, could come in with a winter bid amidst fears they could lose Slovenian midfielder Josip Ilicic to a bigger European club.
Samaras has long been the whipping boy at Parkhead but has produced some assured performances in recent times suggesting the Glasgow giants would want to keep him but with next summer's European Championships looming, the 26-year old could be lured away by the prospect of regular first team football.
