Palermo sports chief Walter Sabatini admits a deal for Boca Juniors defender Gabriel Paletta is yet to be closed.

Sabatini confirmed he wants to sign central defensive cover, but ex-Liverpool defender Paletta's injury problems are working against him.

"He's a candidate," said Sabatini, "but no hasty decisions will be made."
