Palermo goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano is waiting to complete his move to Fiorentina.
The Rosanero have agreed to the switch, but the Nerazzurri are refusing to give the green light at this stage.
"Everything is OK as far as we are concerned," Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini said. "The problem is that Inter want a fee, while Fiorentina want him for free.
"The uneasy relationship between the two clubs is probably not helping matters. I'll phone Inter President Massimo Moratti about it.
"Am I optimistic? Why wouldn't I be? After all, the player has made it clear that he wants to join Fiorentina."
