Palermo sports chief Rino Foschi is keeping tabs on Rio Mavuba's situation at Villarreal.

The France international has expressed frustration over the lack of action he's seen since arriving at Villarreal in the summer from Bordeaux and has admitted he could seek a move in January.

Foschi was beaten by Villarreal during the close-season for Mavuba and despite the midfielder's problems this season, Palermo would be first in the queue should he become available for the winter market.
