Palermo insist defender Matias Silvestre is not moving to AS Roma in January.

The Argentine has been linked with the capital club after Giallorossi stopper Nicolas Burdisso was ruled out for the rest of the campaign following knee ligament damage.

"Silvestre to Roma? Absolutely not," Rosanero President Maurizio Zamparini said.

"They wouldn't even permit themselves to ask us for him…"
