Palermo are eyeing Villarreal defender Gonzalo Rodriguez.
The Argentina international, 24, has emerged as a top target for Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini.
Zamparini has informed coach Davide Ballardini that he will deliver two big signings to him - a striker and a defender, with Rodriguez top of his shortlist.
