Palermo face competition for West Ham United midfielder Valon Behrami.

Rosanero sports director Walter Sabatini has confirmed their interest in the Switzerland international, who is expected to be cashed-in by the new Hammers board at the end of the season.

However, former Swiss coach Christian Gross, now in charge of Stuttgart, is also keen and confident they have the spending power to beat their Italian rivals for Behrami.

Stuttgart are confident of landing Behrami for around £8 million.
