Palermo chief Maurizio Zamparini had previously stated Manchester City and Roma, along with Chelsea, were interested in Argentine forward Javier Pastore, but now vice-president Guglielmo Micciche says the 22 year old is 'very likely' to join the Blues. "We are talking about a great player who, in my opinion, is extraordinary," Micciche explained to Radio Sportiva.
"There is no doubt that he should be sold for several reasons. He wants a big club and negotiations are well advanced with a very important team.
"His agent is working well and if someone pays the right amount we are happy to let him go.
"Very likely he will go to Chelsea but I think there are many other clubs of that level looking at the boy."
Micciche ruled out any suggestion of a player plus cash deal for Pastore, adding: "We don't want any players in exchange, it would be impossible because it would mean taking players of a level that Palermo could not afford."
