Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini insists striker Fabrizio Miccoli is not moving to Birmingham City.
The Rosanero have confirmed a new offer has arrived from Birmingham for the Italy international.
"Miccoli will not leave Palermo," claimed Zamparini. "Our fans shouldn't worry because Miccoli will stay with us.
"Regarding the offer which came from Birmingham, it is all about Miccoli's agent. They want to renegotiate his contract but he has two years left and I do not wish to change our agreement."
The offer was confirmed by the Rosanero's sporting director Walter Sabatini, but he reiterated Zamparini's stance.
"Birmingham sent us a fax and we took only five minutes to reply: we are not interested," added Sabatini.
"We have no appointment set with the player's agent either. Our club has been pretty clear about that."
