Palermo sports director Walter Sabatini has revealed they came close to trumping Genoa for former Real Zaragoza striker Diego Milito in the summer.

"We didn't sign Milito because we thought we would get Nilmar during the summer," Sabatini told Mediagol.it. "In any case, nostalgia ruled in the end and Milito chose Genoa over us anyway.

"Now we are looking for another striker to add some weight to our attack, but everything depends on the condition of Igor Budan."
