Palermo sports chief Walter Sabatini has confirmed Simon Kjaer has received a pay-rise.

"The boy has behaved very well and the president wanted to give an award to the player. It was an increase without any conditions, the buyout clause of €12 million remained," said Sabatini.

"Although there is this clause, we do not believe the player will leave and we'll accept no negotiations with Italian clubs.

"If the player attracts foreign offers that match the buyout clause, then we cannot resist."
